About Leigh

Poston&Co-109.jpg

Leigh Connolly kicked off her real estate career in Atlanta—where she was born and raised—focusing primarily on commercial real estate. After marrying her husband, Duffy, in 1990, she moved to Kingstree, South Carolina, where she took a hiatus from real estate to raise her three children. In 2010, she and her family made the short move to Charleston. Soon after, she picked up where she left off, this time focusing her skills on residential real estate as an agent with Poston & Company.

Leigh earned a business degree after attending both Brenau Women’s College and Clemson University and has a varied professional background. She’s a pro at the transactional side of real estate—thanks, in part, to her past experience working in banking. Yet she’s perhaps best known for her genuine demeanor and relatability, which was put to constant practice during her time as a flight attendant with Delta Airlines. Leigh goes above and beyond the call of duty when helping clients sell a home and finds much satisfaction in helping her buyer-clients find their dream home within their realistic budget. She also takes special joy in helping first-time homebuyers traverse this major milestone.

When she’s not working, Leigh can be found enjoying the outdoors and the natural beauty of Charleston, especially in the waterfront community near Daniel Island where she lives with her husband and high school-age son. With two grown children living in Florida and North Carolina, she also loves any chance to slip away to check in on them.

Q&A with Leigh

What are your favorite local restaurants?

Downtown, I enjoy Husk for dinner and Cru Café for lunch. My husband and I are kind of casual and impromptu people, so we love Locals and Wild Wing Cafe in Mt. Pleasant—places like that where you can go last minute without a reservation. I also really like Dockery’s on Daniel Island because of its warm and casual vibe, and we are regulars at Dog & Duck on Clements Ferry, which we can ride our golf cart to!

What’s your favorite event in town?

I always enjoy the South Carolina Aquarium Gala held each spring. It’s a good excuse to have a dressy date night and is for a wonderful cause. I’ve enjoyed attending all the College of Charleston basketball games for years and also love going to Volvo Stadium on Daniel Island for concerts—it’s close-by fun.

What’s one of your biggest strengths as an agent?

I have a knack for putting together a strong little team of professionals for my clients to help take the worry away from them and help make the process a success.
